Every year in July, for three days, locals and foreigners meet in the village of Syðrugøta at its tiny sandy beach at the end of one of the many fjords of the archipelago.
Several local and international artists performed here on three different stages: Fat Boy Slim, Mø, Rag’n’Bone Man, Harlem Gospel Choir, Specktors, Eivør, Teitur, Marius Ziska, Greta Svabo Bech, Konni Kass, to mention a few.
People have fun, drink a lot of beers, share food, listen to live concerts, sing, dance, and have a good time with friends and family until very late in the night.
WIRED found G! Festival “authentic and weird. Almost secret. Yet welcoming, friendly and open. Like the Faroes.”
The village of Syðrugøta is also the place of the Hoyma Festival, a smaller and more intimate music festival.
